Mr. Zucker is an expert in the identification, validation, and optimization of growth and diversification opportunities for clients in the medical products industries. His entire career has been spent in the healthcare sector; he has led large client and consulting staff teams through strategic and operational engagements in the U.S. and Europe. Mr. Zucker also has extensive expertise in the technical and commercial assessment of new technologies, and has developed proprietary conceptual and quantitative modeling tools for this purpose.

Industry executives and investors have sought Mr. Zucker’s input on issues including strategic fit, long-term technology valuation, commercial and competitive assessment of products and business models, and fundamental financial and technological due diligence.

In partnership with Apical Research Team, as Apical’s Strategy Leader, Mr. Zucker has applied modern data science tools to market access issues for specialty pharmaceuticals, leveraging Apical’s proprietary panel of US payer executives.

Prior to creating EFI, Mr. Zucker was a founder of True North Partners, a hybrid life sciences consulting and investing firm. He was also a Partner and member of CSC Healthcare’s Life Sciences Leadership Team, with responsibility for major client relationships, practice leadership, and business development.

Mr. Zucker’s medical products career has been split between line management in the pharmaceutical industry and consulting to medical products manufacturers. Before EFI, his consulting career was spent with TNP, CSC, and Booz Allen & Hamilton’s pharmaceutical strategy practice; prior to consulting, he performed international clinical development and marketing roles with American Cyanamid, where he developed and managed clinical programs for oncology, cardiovascular, and anti-infective products across Southeast Asia while based in Hong Kong. Mr. Zucker also has scientific laboratory experience in the areas of developmental neurobiology and pharmacology.

Mr. Zucker holds a BA in Biology from the University of Chicago and an MBA in Finance from the Wharton School of Business.
